Introduction – Malcolm Turnbull

Greetings Malcolm.

I have recently read your book, A Bigger Picture. It is remarkable that you have remained so optimistic despite all the vindictiveness that you have faced.

My daughter Jessica boarded at Ross Buchanan’s modest house at Little Bay whilst she was studying for her degree in 2005-2006. When Ross went on a grand tour of Macquarie Bank offices for 4 weeks, I stayed to chaperone. I walked down to Botany Bay every morning before the airport curfew was lifted through some degraded heath land that had some ancient rock egravings as well as lots of broken bottles, pizza boxes and worse. Any rubbish that I removed was quickly replaced.

Ross really looked after his staff (both current and former) who were experiencing traumatic circumstances which including taking them in as boarders. A very generous and warm-hearted soul.

Each morning when I sign into my PC, I check the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) news, health and science bulletins.

The top news stories have frequent references to the problems that women have with their health, the difficulty that they have in obtaining diagnosis and treatment and the suffering that they are enduring. These conditions include endometriosis, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), as well as sex-hormonal related cancers such as breast, endometrium and ovarian cancers.

It is estimated that in Australia 11%-16% of women in the relevant target population are afflicted by endometriosis – a devastating condition.

I have a 150 page, 120000 word website. The web site has a range of supporting material including ebooks, a published book and video. My story (and some great photos) can be viewed below. I have a reference manager that contains over 4000 entries. Most are primary references from peer-reviewed journals where I have the article on my PC. There are also references to books, TV documentaries, podcasts, webpages, blog posts, newspaper articles, conference papers, ABC programs and news items, WHO reports and documents.

There are some remarkable stories, available from the home page of my website, of people’s lives being transformed (for the better) from debilitating conditions simply by changing what they eat.

This is my effort in attmepting to make the world a better place – for the people, our earth and the animals we share the planet with.

Professor Stewart Truswell of University of Sydney is a renowned nutritional researcher and author. He still has an office at the University of Sydney. He is over 90 (DOB 18 August 1928) and before COVID drove into work at University of Sydney most days and has recently published the 5th edition of his 700-page text, Essentials of Human Nutrition for Oxford University Press. He also wrote Cholesterol and Beyond: The Research on Diet and Coronary Heart Disease 1900-2000.

Professor Truswell reviewed my book before it was published and found it “very informative and interesting”. He has also reviewed my books, my 97 minute movie and 150 page website. He states that he cannot find any mistakes in my material.

He stated that the movie and accompanying book are “brilliant”.

Similarly, Mark Hinchey who has a PhD with his thesis titled Evidence-based Medicine is also a supporter.

My material does not need any further validation.

I have references to many papers the first going back to 1982 (YES, 1982) stating that we know the cause of sex-hormone related cancers and how to changes to the diet can prevent as well as reverse the condition. 1 ~ 2 ~ 3 ~ 4 ~ 5 ~ 6 ~ 7 ~ 8 ~ 9 ~ 10

The concept that hormones can cause, i.e., increase the incidence of human cancer, is most developed for the four hormone-related cancers which are numerically the most important, namely, breast, prostate, endometrium, and ovary. (Henderson, 1982).
Estrogens along with progesterone/progestins, and other hormones, are important determinants of cancer in the breast, endometrium and ovary. Estrogens may increase the risk of breast cancer. […] Estrogens cause endometrial cancer. […] The role of sex hormones seems important for ovarian carcinogenesis. (Persson, 2000)

Endometriosis and sex-hormone related cancers have the same cause.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a health problem that is similar to premenstrual syndrome (PMS) but is more serious. PMDD causes severe irritability, depression, or anxiety in the week or two before your period starts. Symptoms usually go away two to three days after your period starts. You may need medicine or other treatment to help with your symptoms. 11

Similarly, the cause of PMDD is also known.

The first paper listed is dated 1989 so it is not that this information is NOT known – but nothing has been done to address the fundamental cause. That is, the high level of estrogens and how this can be alleviated by the changing the food that is consumed. 12 ~ 13 ~ 14

These studies, the first from 1990, show a significant statistical and medical difference in serum estradiol in as little as 2-3 weeks. 15 ~ 16 ~ 17 ~ 18

Peter Gøtzsche is a Danish physician and medical researcher. He is a former leader of the Nordic Cochrane Center in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a co-founder of the Cochrane Collaboration.

Peter C. Gøtzsche, a Danish physician and former director of the Nordic Cochrane Centre, is a prominent critic of mass mammography screening and PSA testing arguing that it causes significant harm through overdiagnosis and does not significantly reduce breast or prostated cancer mortality. His research, along with colleagues like Karsten Juhl Jørgensen, contends that the benefits of screening have been overstated and that the harms—such as unnecessary treatment for cancers that would never have caused symptoms—outweigh the benefits.

Perceived Survival Time for Brease and Prostate Cancer

Mammaograms and PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) tests detect the presence of cancer some 10-15 years after cancer first appears. The goal MUST be to prevent cancer from happening in the first place.

He wrote a book Mammogrqphy Screening: Truth, Lies and Controversy. 19 ~ 20 ~ 21

Gøtzsche recommends that,

[Cancer] screenings should be stopped.

The apparent increase in breast cancer and prostate cancer survival times comes not from better treatment or earlier detection. You die the same day. You lived longer knowing that you are sick. This is a result of “lead time bias“.

Listen to the story of Katherine Lawrence who cured who “incurable” endometriosis in 7 weeks – completely disappeared by changing her diet. Despite many medical journal articles and testimonials, her surgeon was adamant that such a transformation was not possible – “it had to be a miracle” .

For more than six years [since 2020] I have taken material to the Newcastle Herald, The Australian newspaper, Sydney Morning Herald, NSW and South Australia Health departments but no interest has been shown.

The Australian Medical Association, the Medical Journal of Australia and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency [AHPRA] have indicated that it is not within their scope to bring this information to the attention of medical doctors or the Australian public.

I have presented this material to state and federal members of parliament, Jenny Aitchison, Meryl Swanson, Tanya Plibersek and Dan Repacholi but no action has resulted.

I am not making any money from this. I am not selling anything – except an already proven idea. I have even had people (well, 5) come up to me when I go shopping at my local Organic store where I have posters and books for sale, telling me they have cured their high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and arthritis simply by changing what they ate. Two were really, really angry wanting to know why their expensive and incompetent specialists were not able to make any impact where they noticed an improvement after a couple days. YES, that is right.

It would be relatively easy to duplicate Katherine Lawrence’s experience with two women who are suffering from their debilitating endometriosis.

Following their progress by taking weekly liver function tests and kidney function tests as well as their lipid profiles and oestrogen levels, in particular oestradiol. Enlist the services of an incquistive and committed journalist and publish their journey on the home page of the ABC website.

Why is there absolutely no interest?

Dr Michael Brown, winner of the 1985 Nobel Prize for Medicine, stated: 22

We do not need a new discovery. The problem has been switched from one of science to one of social policy and human behavior. And it turns out to be a lot easier to do the science than to change people’s behavior.

Walter Willet, the famed Harvard epidemiologist and former director of the Nurses’ Study stated in a New York Times interview: 23

If you step back and look at the data, the optimum amount of red meat you eat should be zero.

Eric Rimm, another researcher from the Harvard School of Public Health, stated: 24

But avoiding it [trans-fats] if at all possible is ideal. We can’t tell people to stop eating all meat and all dairy products. Well, we could tell people to become vegetarians. If we were truly basing this only on science, we would, but it is a bit extreme.

The Ovarian Cancer Australia website states:

It is not clear whether diet or alcohol affects the risk of developing ovarian cancer.

Really! The small sample of papers listed above, indicates very clearly that diet and alcohol have a significant impact on all forms of sex-hormone related cancers. Check out Ruth Heidrich’s transformation (available from my Home Page) by changing what she ate – no compromise.

As the I Ching (1000-750 BCE) states:

Perseverance alone does not assure success. No amount of stalking will lead to game in a field that contains none.

No amount of money or research is going to find a solution that already exists – WHY?

Because society is looking in the wrong place.

Over the past several decades, our health indicators have become progressively worse. The prevalence of many cancers have continued to rise. The mortality rate for all cases of cancer has risen for females. It has decreased for males because of the reduction in lung cancer. 25

Breast cancer, a sex-hormone related cancer with a high prevalence rate, continues to rise.

Pancreatic cancer, has a lower prevalence rate but has a high mortality rate, continues to rise unabated.

Whilst a substantial reduction in cervical cancer occurred between 1992-2002, there has been NO reduction in the following two decades.

The CEO of the Ovarian Cancer Australia dismissed my comprehensive and validated documentation with the comment that “Our information regarding ovarian cancer risks and symptoms is based on guidance from Cancer Australia and reflects the current evidence base available throughour national cancer authority26

In 2006-2011, $1.77 billion in funding was provided for cancer research in Australia. 27

Despite all the donor dollars and research,

During 2011–2015, an average of 714 new cases of cancer were diagnosed annually among children aged 0–14—a rate of 16 per 100,000 children.

The most common cancer groups were leukaemia, cancer of the central nervous system (including the brain) and lymphoma.

The rates for 2011–2015 for children aged 0–14 (16.3 per 100,000) were slightly higher than for 2006–2010 (15.1 per 100,000).

While rates increased for all age groups, the largest increase was for children aged 5–9 (10.3 cases per 100,000 in 2006–2010 to 12.3 cases per 100,000 in 2011–2015).

That is, cancer rates for children aged 5-9, increased 19% for the five year period from the 2006-2010 to 2011-2015.

The good news is that for the same period, for children aged 0-14, cancer rates only increased 8%.

Why are the corporate donors for Cancer Council Australia not available for public scrutiny?

Why is all the education and research adminisistred by Cancer Council Australia not having the desired imact?

I am really hoping to find a person or organisation who is interested in making a positive change with the information that we have known for centuries.

Think of the impact that this would make on both women and men in our society.
